About the Founder

I'm Ekaterina, the founder of CLOSSOME, a fashion brand born from my love of clothing, craftsmanship and the quiet confidence that comes from wearing something that feels made for you.

I have been fascinated by clothes since childhood. Growing up in Russia, sewing was a part of everyday life for my grandmothers, and I was always fascinated by the magic of creating something with your own hands, turning a piece of fabric into something beautiful, functional and uniquely yours.

As I grew older, I began to experience this fascination in a more personal way. At 160 cm (5'3"), I often struggled to find clothes that fit my proportions perfectly while also offering the quality and construction I was looking for. That was the moment when my own journey into creating clothes began.

My journey eventually brought me to Paris, and what could have been more inspiring than living in one of the world's fashion capitals?

After years of training and hands-on experience in Parisian couture ateliers, I came to understand what truly makes a garment well-made: its construction, proportions and the precision behind every detail. That knowledge, combined with my own experience of struggling to find clothes proportioned for my height, became one of the foundations of CLOSSOME. It led me to develop three height categories: Petite, Regular and Tall; so that proportion and construction are considered from the very first cut, rather than adjusted afterwards.

Along the way, sewing taught me to see clothing differently. A garment is not just a beautiful object; it is a combination of construction, proportion, fabric and countless small details that come together to create a particular feeling when you wear it.

I was especially drawn to tailoring.

There is something incredibly beautiful about a well-cut jacket, a structured suit, a perfectly proportioned coat or a classic trench, the contrast between a defined shoulder and a soft silhouette, between structure and movement. These pieces became my favourite pieces to create because they have the power to change the way you feel almost instantly, without needing to be loud. For me, good tailoring is about balance: effortless, timeless, with details that reveal themselves slowly rather than demand attention.

I don't believe a beautiful jacket should need to be replaced every season. It should become a piece you return to again and again, an investment in your wardrobe that grows with you and remains relevant for years.

This is the philosophy behind CLOSSOME.

I created the brand to make pieces that become part of a woman's wardrobe and stay there for years, pieces that can be worn in different ways, on different occasions, and still feel like you.

CLOSSOME is my way of combining creativity with craftsmanship to create clothing that makes women feel confident, elegant and completely themselves.
